Boris Said makes return to Sprint Cup at Watkins Glen with Go Fas Racing

Said

If a Sprint Cup race is held on a road course without Boris Said, was there really a race?

Said, who was not present for the June race at Sonoma Raceway, will make his return to the Sprint Cup Series for next weekend’s event at Watkins Glen International. He will do so in the No. 32 Ford for Go Fas Racing.

Said, who drove the No. 32 in 2015 at Sonoma and at the Glen, will be sponsored by Genesee Brewing Company.

With a start, it will mark the 18th consecutive season that the road course expert has appeared in a Sprint Cup Series event. He made two starts in each of the last five seasons.

“I’m always excited when it comes to racing at Watkins Glen,” declared Boris Said in a press release. “Not only is Watkins Glen one of my favorite race tracks anywhere in the world, I just love the area, the fans, the food and everything about it!”

Said’s best finish on the New York road course was third in 2005. In his last five starts, his best finish was 22nd twice. Since 1999, Said has missed just two Cup races at WGI.
