In conjunction with sponsoring the Sprint Cup Chevrolets of Kevin Harvick, Danica Patrick and Tony Stewart at Pocono Raceway, ExxonMobil is releasing three digital content initiatives.

At 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Stewart will race against in the Mobil 1 Virtual Showdown, pitting the three-time Sprint Cup champion against some of the top drivers in iRacing during a simulated race at Pocono. The event will be streamed live on iRacing’s Twitch and YouTube channels.

“It’s unique for a real-world NASCAR driver and an eSports driver to go head-to-head on an equal playing field, and I’m looking forward taking on some of iRacing’s finest sim drivers,” Stewart said in a release. “The Mobil 1 Virtual Showdown gives me an extra turn in the No. 14 Mobil 1 Chevy before Kevin, Danica and I all hit the Tricky Triangle track on Sunday with our Mobil 1 paint schemes.”

On Wednesday, ExxonMobil rolled out the “Mobil 1 | Three wide at the Tricky Triangle” time lapse video across the Mobil 1 brand’s YouTube, Facebook and Twitter channels (the video can be seen above).

Filmed at Stewart-Haas Racing headquarters in Kannapolis, North Carolina, the video – named after Pocono’s famed “Tricky Triangle” race track – provided fans with a unique behind-the-scenes look at the wrapping of the No. 4, No. 10 and No. 14 Chevys with Mobil 1 paint schemes for Pocono.

On Tuesday, the latest installment in the “Endless Road Trip” video series starring Harvick, Patrick and Stewart was featured alongside previous episodes on the Mobil 1 YouTube, Facebook and Twitter channels.

Race fans attending the race weekend at Pocono will be able to view geo-targeted, additional Mobil 1 content on their mobile devices, and Mobil 1 will supply more content from the track via NASCAR.com, Facebook and Twitter.

“The same brand having marquee placement on three cars for one of NASCAR’s top teams during the same race is rare, so we are marking the event by bringing more Mobil 1-branded action to race fans before and during the Pocono Sprint Cup race,” Kai Decker, global motorsports manager at ExxonMobil, said in a release. “Our Mobil 1 Pocono digital content ranges from light-hearted to thrilling and provides behind-the-scenes access we think fans will love.”

Mobil 1 also will serve as the presenting sponsor of the NBCSN broadcast of Sunday’s race at Pocono.
