Brexton Busch leaves mom and dad hanging when it comes to kissing the bricks at Indianapolis

Kyle Busch brought his family along to partake in the tradition of kissing the bricks after his win in the Lilly Diabetes 250 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, but son Brexton was just not that interested. After initially looking like he wanted to follow mom and dad’s direction, Brexton, who is 14 months old, took off when he had the chance.

“Trying to get a 14-(month) old to kiss the bricks is a little challenging,’' Busch said during his post-race press conference. “I’m sure once he sort of gets the idea there will be a time in which maybe I’ll win a race and he’ll want to kiss some bricks or maybe he’ll win a race and he’ll kiss some bricks. I thought he did better than we expected him to.

“Last year he didn’t have a choice, he just sat there. It was a little easier to hold on to him. Now he’s walking and running and trotting, whatever it is, he’s hard to hold. He wants to go, go, go.’'
