Warnings issued to multiple teams following New Hampshire

Austin Dillon and Kevin Harvick will both lose 15 minutes of practice this weekend at Indianapolis Motor Speedway after failing inspection last weekend in New Hampshire.

Dillon’s No. 3 team from Richard Childress Racing received its fourth written warning after failing the Laser Inspection Station (LIS) three times during pre-race inspection for the New Hampshire 301.

Harvick’s No. 4 team from Stewart-Haas Racing was given its second written warning after failing template inspection three times during pre-qualifying inspection.

Other teams who received warnings were:


  • The No. 22 Team Penske team of Joey Logano was issued their first written warning after failing the Laser Inspection Station (LIS) twice during pre-race inspection.

  • The No. 19 Joe Gibbs Racing team of Carl Edwards was also issued their first written warning after failing the Laser Inspection Station (LIS) twice during pre-qualifying inspection.

  • The No. 1 (Jamie McMurray), No. 3 (Dillon), No. 6 (Trevor Bayne), No. 10 (Danica Patrick), No. 14 (Tony Stewart), No. 15 (Clint Bowyer), No. 19 (Edwards), No. 21 (Ryan Blaney), No. 42 (Kyle Larson), No. 47 (AJ Allmendinger), and No. 83 (Matt Dibenedetto) all failed template inspection twice during pre-qualifying inspection

One Xfinity Series team was also issued a written warning following New Hampshire. Ty Dillon’s No. 3 team from Richard Childress Racing failed template inspection three times during pre-qualifying inspection.
