Watch LIVE: 90 minutes of NASCAR America at 5 p.m. ET: Dale Earnhardt Jr. update

Today’s episode of NASCAR America airs for 90 minutes beginning at 5 p.m. ET on NBCSN and brings you analysis of Sunday’s racing at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

Carolyn Manno hosts with Kyle Petty in Stamford, Connecticut. Dale Jarrett and Steve Letarte join from Burton’s Garage.

Included in today’s show:

  • Matt Kenseth took home the massive lobster after winning at New Hampshire yesterday. But penalties could be coming for the No. 20 team after Kenseth’s car failed post-race laser inspection. We’ll hear from NASCAR’s Steve O’Donnell on the situation, and Jarrett, Letarte and Petty will all weigh in on what the team could have done to prevent this.
  • With the Brickyard 400 around the corner, one thing we’re still not sure about is who will be in the No. 88 car. After Alex Bowman stepped in at New Hampshire for the ailing Dale Earnhardt Jr. (concussion-like symptoms), will Junior return at Indy – or will Jeff Gordon come out of retirement to drive in his place? We’ll hear from Bowman on his day in the No. 88 car, plus Kelli Stavast reports from Hendrick Motorsports.
  • Not too long ago, Tony Stewart was looking at a poor ending to his stellar Sprint Cup career. But “Smoke” has turned the tables, and in New Hampshire, he gained more momentum with a strong second-place finish behind Kenseth. Kelli Stavast spoke with his crew chief, Mike Bugarewicz, to discuss Tony’s transformation.
