Chase Elliott is fastest in final Sprint Cup practice at New Hampshire

Chase Elliott was the fastest driver Saturday in the final NASCAR Sprint Cup Series practice session for Sunday’s New Hampshire 301 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

Elliott was one of three drivers to top 131 mph, leading the field with an effort of 131.347 mph.

Denny Hamlin was second fastest at 131.302 mph, while Matt Kenseth was third fastest at 131.044.

Once again, Joe Gibbs Racing was the dominant team. Even though Elliott was fastest, all four JGR drivers were among the eight fastest drivers, with Kyle Busch fifth fastest (130.891 mph) and Carl Edwards was eighth fastest (130.590 mph).
