Joey Logano's streak of Top 10 finishes came to an end on Saturday when he went into the wall during the Quaker State 400.

Joey Logano had a right front tire issue that sent him into the wall on Lap 54 after heavy contact with the wall Saturday night at Kentucky Speedway.

“I’m assuming I overheated the bead and right front blew out and the brakes were gone,’' Logano told NBCSN. “It compounded from the first accident. I hit a ton. I had a long time to think about how much that wa going to hurt.’'

Logano had struggled from the start with handling, nearly hitting the wall on the first lap and then hitting it later.

“Obviously pretty loose on the start,’' Logano said on the radio to his team after that opening lap.

The incident ends Logano’s streak of five consecutive top-10 finishes, which included his victory at Michigan last month. He last finished outside the top 10 in a Sprint Cup race in May at Dover.
