Today’s episode of NASCAR America airs at the special time of 5 – 6:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN and starts the final countdown to the start of NBC’s coverage of the NASCAR season with the Coke Zero 400 this weekend.

Dave Briggs hosts with Dale Jarrett from Stamford, Connecticut. Jeff Burton and Kyle Petty join them from Burton’s Garage.

Included in today’s show:

· Tony Stewart stunned the racing world Sunday with a win at Sonoma. NASCAR America recaps a victory that will resonate for years to come, as Stewart beat Denny Hamlin in a last-lap battle and put himself in position to make the Chase in his final Sprint Cup season. We’ll also have reactions from Stewart and his crew chief, Mike Bugarewicz.

· Hamlin was left one spot shy of his first career road course win, but it was another solid day for his Joe Gibbs Racing team with three JGR cars finishing in the top 10. Marty Snider has more from the team’s shop in North Carolina.

· With Daytona just days away, it’s a quick turnaround for the victorious Stewart-Haas Racing after arriving back from the West Coast early this morning. Dave Burns ventured over to the SHR shop to see what their mood is like.
