Denny Hamlin is the halfway leader of the Toyota/Save Mart 350 at Sonoma Raceway after 55 of 110 laps.

Hamlin has led for six laps since a Lap 49 restart from a debris caution. Hamlin took the lead from Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Kyle Busch. Both had been in the pits when the caution waved.

The top 10 at Lap 55 is Hamlin, Kyle Larson, Kyle Busch, A.J. Allmendinger, Greg Biffle, Martin Truex Jr., Matt Kenseth, Carl Edwards, Dale Earnhardt Jr., and Joey Logano.

The first caution waved on Lap 7 when Clint Bowyer stopped near Turn 8. Soon after, smoke began filling the cockpit of his No. 15 Chevrolet from an electrical fire.

“It had to be the ignition, it was a wiring fire,” Bowyer told Fox Sports 1. “It choked me out and I couldn’t breath.”

Bowyer is the only car out of the race at halfway.

Allmendinger took the lead from pole-sitter Edwards on the Lap 9 restart and led until Lap 25 when he, Edwards and Truex pitted. The first round of green flag pit stops occurred just past the 20th lap.

The lead cycled back to Edwards on Lap 32.
