Axalta ‘We Paint Winners’ 400: Start time, starting grid, weather, TV/radio info

The Axalta “We Paint Winners” 400 is scheduled to be run today at Pocono Raceway.

Pole sitter Brad Keselowski will lead the field to green.

Here’s everything you need to know about the longest NASCAR race of the year (all times are Eastern):

START: The command to start engines will be given at 12:50 p.m. by Charlie Shaver, Chairman and CEO, Axalta Coating Systems. Green flag is set for 1:01 p.m.

DISTANCE: The race is 160 laps (400 miles) around the 2.5-mile tri-oval racetrack.

PRERACE SCHEDULE: Driver introductions begin at 12:10 p.m. The invocation will be given at 12:42 p.m. by Monty Self of Motor Racing Outreach.

NATIONAL ANTHEM: Will be performed at 12:43 p.m. by the United States Air Force Heritage of America Band.

COMPETITION CAUTION: Lap 15

TV/RADIO: Fox Sports 1 will broadcast the race with its coverage beginning at 1 p.m. ET (prerace coverage begins at 11:30 a.m. with NASCAR Race Day). Motor Racing Network’s broadcast on radio begins at 12 p.m. SiriusXM NASCAR Radio will carry the MRN broadcast.

FORECAST: wunderground.com predicts thunderstorms with a temperature of 67 degrees and an 87 percent chance of rain at the start time.

LAST TIME: Martin Truex Jr. won the spring race at Pocono last season, while Matt Kenseth won the summer race there.
