CONCORD, N.C. -- Despite a 12th-place finish in Saturday’s Hisense 300 at Charlotte Motor Speedway, Daniel Suarez moved into the lead of the Xfinity Series points standings.

Elliott Sadler dropped to second in the standings (14 points behind Suarez) after a 28th at Charlotte. The JR Motorsports driver already has qualified for the Xfinity Series playoffs by virtue of his win at Talladega Superspeedway.

Suarez, who still is seeking his first win, rebounded from an early spin.

Sadler’s teammate, Justin Allgaier, moved up a spot to third in points with a third Saturday.
