Kurt Busch quickest in first Sprint Cup practice for Coke 600

Jimmie Johnson had the fastest time for the majority of the first practice session for the Coca-Cola 600, but Kurt Busch jumped to the top of the charts with just over two minutes left.

Kurt Busch claimed the top spot with a speed of 192.843 mph.

Following him was Johnson (191.252), Carl Edwards (191.042), Kevin Harvick (190.772) and Kyle Larson (190.745).

The session was stopped just once to pick up debris that had fallen from Joey Logano’s car.
