Watch LIVE: NASCAR America at 5 p.m. ET: Sprint All-Star Race rewind, Harvick stays at SHR

Today’s episode of NASCAR America airs from 5 - 6 pm ET on NBCSN.

Dave Briggs hosts with Parker Kligerman from our Stamford (Conn.) studios. Dale Jarrett and Nate Ryan join us from NBC Charlotte, while Jeff Burton and Steve Letarte are at Burton’s Garage.

On today’s show:

* A new format led to mass confusion among drivers and fans alike in Saturday night’s Sprint All-Star Race. We break down the bizarre and memorable evening, which saw Joey Logano take the checkered flag and a check for $1 million.

* Before the All-Star Race, some Sprint Cup drivers tried to race their way into the main event in the Sprint Showdown - and they certainly didn’t disappoint. We’ll have highlights and reaction to the exciting race from our team of analysts.

* So much for the rumor mill: Kevin Harvick has signed a long-term contract extension with Stewart-Haas Racing and will remain in the No. 4 car for years to come. We’ll explain the significance of Harvick’s extension, not just for him and SHR but also for one Hendrick Motorsports driver in particular.

* As we begin motorsports’ biggest week, we’ll look beyond NASCAR to check out what happened in the world of racing this past weekend, including Indy 500 qualifying, a vicious crash in Formula 3, Myatt Snider’s (son of NBC Sports’ Marty Snider) win in his ARCA Racing Series debut and more.
