Texas Motor Speedway announces new sponsor for April Sprint Cup race

Oreilly

After the conclusion of a three-year sponsorship deal with Duck Commander this season, Texas Motor Speedway has announced a multi-year deal with O’Reilly Auto Parts to sponsor the April Sprint Cup race beginning next year.

The O’Reilly Auto Parts 500 will be Sunday, April 9, 2017.

“We had a great meeting with the O’Reilly management team in Missouri a few months ago, and the thing that excites me the most about the partnership is this is going to be the promotion they are going to hang their hat on company wide all year long,” Texas Motor Speedway President Eddie Gossage said in a press release. “That’s exciting because it helps spread the word about the O’Reilly Auto Parts 500, Texas Motor Speedway and the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series to all of their customers across the country. It helps build this event up and makes it bigger.”

The new deal means O’Reilly Auto Parts will no longer sponsor the spring Xfinity Series race at Texas. It will continue to sponsor the November Xfinity race.

The auto parts chain has sponsored races at TMS since 1999. It was the entitlement sponsor for the Camping World Truck Series’ races at TMS from 1999-2004. It has sponsored 27 Xfinity races at Texas since 2002, including both races beginning in 2005.
