Sprint Cup teams will run a different tire combination this weekend at Dover International Speedway than they have before.

This will be the first time that Cup teams have run the right-side tire. Teams ran the left-side tire last month at Texas Motor Speedway.

Compared to what was run at Dover last year, the left-side tire has an updated construction and compound change, which will give cars more grip. The right-side tire features a mold shape change compared to the tire run at this 1-mile concrete track last year.

Here’s the details:

Tire Codes: Left-side -- D-4684; Right-side -- D-4696.

Tire Circumference: Left-side -- 87.24 in. (2,216 mm); Right-side -- 88.35 in. (2,244 mm).

Minimum Recommended Inflation: Left Front -- 19 psi; Left Rear -- 19 psi; Right Front -- 49 psi; Right Rear -- 45 psi.

Set limits: Sprint Cup: 5 sets for practice/qualifying and 9 sets for the race.

Dover is unique among NASCAR ovals one mile or less in length, in that inner liners are required on all four tire positions . . . air pressure in those inner liners should be 12-25 psi greater than that of the outer tire.

Teams in all three nationals series will run the same right-side tire code. Xfinity and Camping World Truck Series teams will run a different left-side tire.

Set limits: Xfinity: 6 sets for the event; Camping World Truck: 6 sets for the event.
