John Wes Townley posted the fastest lap in Thursday’s final practice session at Kansas Speedway with a lap of 176,980 mph.
He was followed by Spencer Gallagher (176.748 mph), Cameron Hayley (176.702), Tyler Reddick (176.448) and Matt Crafton (176.269). Clint Bowyer was 18th with a top lap of 174.752 mph. He was one spot ahead of NASCAR on NBC Sports analyst Parker Kligerman, whose fastest lap was 174.464 mph.
Tommy Jo Martins crashed during the session. He tweeted that he blew a right front tire because of a puncture, forcing him into the wall. He has no backup.
