Today’s NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Richmond: Start time, lineup, TV info and more

The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series will play host this afternoon to the Toyota Owners 400 at Richmond International Raceway.

Here are the particulars:

(All times are Eastern):

START: Robert “Dell” Wilson will give the command for drivers to start their engines at 1:07 p.m. The green flag is scheduled for 1:14 p.m.

DISTANCE: The race is scheduled for 400 laps (300 miles) around the .750-mile track.

PRERACE SCHEDULE: The Sprint Cup garage opens at 7 a.m. The driver/crew chief meeting is at 11 a.m. Driver introductions are at 12:30 p.m.

NATIONAL ANTHEM: Trent Harmon will perform the anthem at 1:01 p.m.

TV/RADIO: Fox will broadcast the race, beginning at 1 p.m. Motor Racing Network will broadcast the race on radio and at MRN.com beginning at 12 p.m. SiriusXM NASCAR Radio will carry MRN’s broadcast.

FORECAST: The wunderground.com site predicts 67 degrees at race time with a zero percent chance of rain.

LAST YEAR: Kurt Busch won this race last year, leading 291 of 400 laps. It was Busch’s second career win at Richmond. Matt Kenseth won last September’s race at Richmond. Kenseth dominated, leading 352 of 400 laps. Kyle Busch finished second, followed by Joey Logano.
