Tonight’s NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Texas: Start time, lineup, TV info and more

The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series will play host tonight to Duck Commander 500 at Texas Motor Speedway.

Here are the particulars:

(All times are Eastern):

START: Jase and Rowdy Robertson of the A&E show “Duck Dynasty” will give the command for drivers to start their engines at 7:38 p.m. ET. The green flag is scheduled for 7:46 p.m.

DISTANCE: The race is scheduled for 334 laps (500 miles) around the 1.5-mile track.

PRERACE SCHEDULE: The Sprint Cup garage opens at 1:30 p.m. The drivers meeting is at 5:30 p.m. Driver introductions are at 6:50 p.m.

NATIONAL ANTHEM: Will Robertson will perform the anthem at 7:31 p.m.

TV/RADIO: Fox will broadcast the race, beginning at 7:30 p.m. Performance Racing Network will broadcast the race on radio and at goPRN.com beginning at 6:30 p.m. SiriusXM NASCAR Radio will carry PRN’s broadcast.

FORECAST: The wunderground.com site predicts 71 degrees at race time with a 20% chance of rain.

LAST YEAR: Jimmie Johnson swept both Texas races last year. He passed Brad Keselowski with four laps left to win the November race and led 128 laps in winning the spring race.
