Kurt Busch and his Stewart-Haas Racing team were at Texas Motor Speedway on Thursday, but crew chief Tony Gibson was back in North Carolina.
The team stated that Gibson was with his wife, who was “under the weather.’'
Gibson is expected to be with the team for Saturday night’s race. Engineer Johnny Klausmeier will serve as the team’s crew chief Thursday and Friday.
