Thanks in part to the playing of two college football games in its confines later this year, Bristol Motor Speedway needed a new way to display videos, timing and scoring and other information to fans.
The solution? Colossus, a four-sided video board that weighs 700 tons and that is now suspended above the half-mile track.
The track has published time lapse video of the final video screen being installed. Each video screen is 68 feet wide and 30 feet tall.

The completed Colossus will make its debut next weekend when the Sprint Cup and Xfinity Series roll into town for their first of two race weekends in Bristol.
