John Hunter Nemechek takes over top spot in Truck Series standings

John Hunter Nemechek may have come in second in Saturday’s Alpha Energy Solutions 250 at Martinsville Speedway, but he emerged atop the Camping World Truck Series point standings afterward.

Nemechek gained two positions to move into the top spot. Other big movers included Cameron Hayley (gained six spots to fifth place), two-time Truck Series champ Matt Crafton (gained seven spots to 11th place) and rookie William Byron had the biggest gain (gained 14 spots to 12th place).

Here’s how the Truck Series standings look now. They’ll remain that way for over a month, as the next race is May 6 at Kansas Speedway:
