BK Racing announced that Ryan Ellis will drive the team’s No. 93 car for multiple races this season, beginning April 24 at Richmond International Raceway. ScienceLogic will be the sponsor.
The 26-year-old Ellis made his Sprint Cup debut last year at Phoenix, placing 40th. He has made 29 career Xfinity starts and 20 Camping World Truck starts. He has yet to score a top-10 finish in either series.
“Four or five years ago, I met (BK team owner) Ron Devine and I told him one day I would drive for him,’' Ellis said in a team release. “It seemed very far-fetched at the time, but this year it finally came to fruition.
Said Devine in a team release: “Ryan is a driver that we’ve been watching for quite some time as he raced in the Trucks and Xfinity. We’re proud to bring him to BK Racing this season and welcome ScienceLogic to our family.”
