Bristol Motor Speedway will be rockin’ before things start rollin’ during the upcoming Food City 500 weekend.
Track officials revealed Sunday that in addition to the previously announced concert by The Doobie Brothers prior to the April 17 Sprint Cup race, several other musical acts will perform during the weekend at the half-mile bullring.
The Doobie Brothers are known for numerous hits including “Rockin’ Down the Highway,” “Jesus Is Just Alright,” “China Grove” and “Black Water.”
Country music star Lee Greenwood, whose “God Bless the USA” is a mainstay at many NASCAR tracks, will follow The Doobie Brothers and perform that song live prior to Sunday’s Sprint Cup race.
Country music singer/songwriter Clare Dunn, who has had hits with “Get Out,” “Move On” and her current hit “Tuxedo,” will perform the National Anthem prior to the Fitzgerald Glider Kits 300 NASCAR Xfinity Series race on Saturday, April 16. Then she’ll hold a post-Xfinity race concert on the “Ole Smoky Roof” in Turn 4.
Georgia native and singer/songwriter Lance Stinson will perform later that evening after the K&N Pro Series East Pittlite 125 race.
