Michigan International Speedway announces ‘Keloorah’ festival lineups

michigan c

During both NASCAR race weekends at Michigan International Speedway this season, racing and music fans will be able to enjoy both their passions at the “Kerloorah” music festival.

The track announced the lineups Tuesday for the separate festivals that will be held on the Friday and Saturday of each weekend.

The June race weekend will see performances by Grouplove, Third Eye Blind, Fitz and the Tantrums, Andy Grammer, The Neighbourhood, Elle King and Joe Hertler and the Rainbow Seekers.

The August race weekend will have a country flavor to it with Chase Rice, Chase Bryant, Kip Moore, Drake White and The Big Fire and Tim Dugger.

“We are excited about ‘Keloorah’ and the great performers we are bringing to MIS for the fans to enjoy on the NASCAR weekends,” MIS President Roger Curtis said in a release. “Keloorah is a completely unique concept – a true music festival taking place at the same time as a NASCAR race weekend to attract new fans to MIS who may not otherwise be aware of, or come to see, NASCAR, as well as provide a great new experience for our NASCAR fans. Keloorah will be an entertainment experience unparalleled at any other NASCAR event.”

In addition to the music, “Keloorah” will have DJs, a go-kart experience, a video game arcade, an outdoor sports bar, tailgate games, foam parties and paint parties. All of this will be located behind Turn 3 of MIS.

MIS is offering a special presale for fans. Fans who already have purchased NASCAR Sprint Cup Series admissions can call 800.354.1010 beginning March 23 to get your two-day admission to “Keloorah” for just $20 (ask for the “Keloorah” add-on admission).

If haven’t purchased NASCAR admissions yet, ask the agent about the “Keloorah” packages. The presale is available only by phone. The call center is open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday-Friday and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday-Sunday.

Unlike last year, there is no general admission ticket to Sunday’s race available as part of the Keloorah ticket. Last year a ticket to the race (of any value) served as admission to the festival.
