Sprint Cup and Xfinity Series teams will use the same, new right-side Goodyear tire compound this weekend at Auto Club Speedway.

But the Sprint Cup Series will have the left-side tire compound that was used in 2015 at Darlington Raceway and Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Compared with what the tire raced at Fontana last season, the left side features a slight construction change.

The change on the right side is to a multizone tread tire, which features two distinct tread compounds on the same tire, one for endurance and heat resistance on the inboard 2 inches of the tread and one for traction on the outboard 10 inches. The right-side code features the same compound run at Fontana ’15 on the inboard, with a different compound for more grip on the outboard.

Here is the tire information.

Left-side -- D-4650; Circumference: left-side -- 87.56 in. (2,224 mm); Minimum recommended inflation: Left-front -- 19 psi; left-rear -- 19 psi.

Right-side -- D-4658; Circumference: right-side -- 88.39 in. (2,245 mm); Minimum recommended inflation: Right-front -- 45 psi; Right-rear -- 42 psi.

Goodyear will give Sprint Cup team five sets for practice and qualifying and 12 for Sunday’s race.

Teams are required to run liners in all four tire positions at Fontana with air pressure in those inner liners to be 12-25 psi greater than that of the outer tire.
