Chris Gabehart, the crew chief for the No. 20 Toyota driven by Erik Jones in the Xfinity Series, has been fined $5,000 following the race weekend at Phoenix International Raceway.

NASCAR levied the fine against Gabehart after the No. 20 car was found to have rear alignment measurement issues during post-race laser inspection. Jones finished second Saturday after starting from the pole.

Danny Stockman, crew chief on the No. 2 Chevrolet, was fined $5,000 two weeks ago for a similar violation.

The only other Xfinity Series infraction from Phoenix was a written warning to the No. 21 team of Spencer Gallagher. His car failed pre-race laser inspection three times and will be forced to sit for 15 minutes of the first practice session this weekend.

The written warning was the team’s second of the year.

If a team earns four warnings during the season, regardless if at a point or non-point race, it will lose its pit selection.
