June Xfinity Series race at Michigan to be sponsored by Menards, Valvoline

Michigan

The Xfinity Series’ June 11 race at Michigan International Speedway will be co-sponsored by Menards and Valvoline, the track announced Monday.

The 13th race of the Xfinity Series’ season has been branded the Menards 250 presented by Valvoline. The series’ only visit to the 2-mile track during the season had been sponsored by Great Clips and Ollie’s Bargain Outlet the past two years.

It will be the first time Valvoline has sponsored a NASCAR event at Michigan.

“Valvoline and Menards have both had a long-standing involvement in NASCAR, and we are excited they have decided to join our team,” MIS President Roger Curtis said. “It makes the partnership even better when you can find organizations who share a similar passion for NASCAR and the guest experience.”

The 2014 race was won by Paul Menard in a Menards’ sponsored car for Richard Childress Racing.
