Today’s Xfinity race at Phoenix: Start time, weather, radio and TV info

The NASCAR Xfinity Series moves into its fourth race of the season with today’s Axalta Faster. Tougher. Brighter. 200 at Phoenix International Raceway.

Here are the particulars for today’s race: (All times are Eastern)

START: Charlie Shaver, Chairman and CEO of Axalta, will give the command to start engines at 2:38 p.m. The green flag is scheduled to wave at 2:45 p.m.

DISTANCE: The 200-lap race on the 1-mile speedway will cover 200 miles.

PRERACE SCHEDULE: The Xfinity garage opens at 8 a.m. Qualifying is at 11:45 a.m. The driver/crew chief meeting is at 12:50 p.m. Driver introductions are at 2 p.m.

NATIONAL ANTHEM: The Anglim Sisters will perform the anthem at 2:31 p.m.

TV/RADIO: Fox will broadcast the race at 2 p.m. Motor Racing Network will broadcast the race on radio and at MRN.com with coverage beginning at 2 p.m. SiriusXM NASCAR Radio will carry MRN’s broadcast.

FORECAST: wunderground.com predicts a temperature of 69 degrees at race time with a 0 percent chance of rain.

LAST TIME: Kyle Busch led 190 of 200 laps to win at Phoenix in November. Brad Keselowski was second and Erik Jones third. Last March, Joey Logano won, leading 176 of 200 laps and was followed by Matt Kenseth, Kevin Harvick Austin Dillon and Erik Jones.
