Social Roundup: NASCAR drivers enjoy time off during west coast swing

Kevin Harvick has seven wins at Phoenix International Raceway, which is good for most all-time in the Sprint Cup Series. Can anybody take him down this weekend or is he destined to take another checkered flag?

It’s been about a month and half since Tony Stewart injured his back while driving a dune buggy in sand dunes in Southern California.

That fact didn’t stop Kyle Busch from visiting the dunes on Wednesday. The defending Sprint Cup champion posted a video to Instagram of him enjoying an afternoon in the sand dunes with his No. 18 crew.

This time last year, Busch was in his fourth week of recovery from a broken right leg and a fractured left foot in the Xfinity Series season opener.

Here’s a look at how other Sprint Cup drivers and teams are enjoying their free time during NASCAR’s west coast swing, which barrels into Phoenix International Raceway this weekend.

First off, Kansas native Clint Bowyer spent time with the World Series champion Kansas City Royals during their spring training.
