The Sprint Cup and Xfinity Series will use the same tire compound combination this weekend when they visit Phoenix International Raceway.

For the third straight week, Cup teams will compete on a new compound with the low-downforce package.

Here is the tire info:

Left side: tire codes – D-4664; circumference: 87.56 in. (2,224 mm); minimum recommended inflation: left front — 14 psi; left rear — 14 psi.

Right side: tire codes — D-4666; circumference:  88.35 in. (2,244 mm); minimum recommended inflation: right front — 34 psi; right rear — 32 psi.

Compared to what was used at Phoenix in 2015, both left and right-side tires have the same constructions with different compounds to give cars more grip. Goodyear conducted a tire test at PIR last October based on the 2016 rules package. A.J. Allmendinger, Kurt Busch, Matt Kenseth and Brad Keselowski were part of the test. At all NASCAR ovals one mile or less in length, teams will not run liners in tires.

Sprint Cup teams will be given five sets of tires for practice and nine for the race. Xfinity teams will have seven sets for the entire weekend.
