Starting lineup for Sunday’s Kobalt 400 Sprint Cup race at Las Vegas

Kurt Busch will start from the pole for the second consecutive week when the green flag drops for Sunday’s Kobalt 400 Sprint Cup race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Busch and younger brother Kyle grew up in Las Vegas. And while Kyle has one Sprint Cup win at his home track, Kurt Busch is still seeking his first triumph on the 1.5-mile track.

Joey Logano will start on the outside pole, while Matt Kenseth and Brad Keselowski will make up the second row.

Austin Dillon and Kevin Harvick make up Row 3, Aric Almirola and Kasey Kahne are in Row 4 and Daytona 500 winner Denny Hamlin and Martin Truex Jr. are in Row 5.

Of note: Carl Edwards and Jamie McMurray will both start at the back of the field in Sunday’s race after going to back-up cars. … Also, for the second straight week, all 39 cars entered made the show.
