Daytona 500 winner Denny Hamlin and fellow Toyota driver Martin Truex Jr. were fastest in Saturday’s final Sprint Cup practice at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
Hamlin (188.450 mph) and Truex (188.226) were the only drivers over 188 mph in preparation for Sunday’s Folds of Honor Quick Trip 500.
Jimmie Johnson (187.297) was third fastest, followed by Dale Earnhardt Jr. (187.095) and Chase Elliott (186.963).
Sixth through 10th fastest were Kyle Busch (186.679), who had his pole-earning speed Friday disallowed after failing post-qualifying inspection, followed by Jamie McMurray (186.347), Casey Mears (186.115), Kurt Busch (186.084) and Ryan Newman (185.947).
