Ty Dillon was the fastest of 47 Xfinity cars that took to the track for practice Friday morning at Daytona International Speedway. Dillon record a lap of 192.526 mph.
Blake Koch was next at 191.963 mph with Austin Dillon next at 191.910 mph.
Darrell Wallace Jr. hit the wall early in practice and his team had to go to a backup car. He was in the pack and was tapped from behind by Aric Almirola. Wallace did not make it back out on track in his backup before the session ended.
Wallace stated on his Facebook page: “Bummer. I messed up. This new car is faster though. We will be just fine, still pumped and ready to climb back in!’'
