The starting grid for the 58th Daytona 500 is now official after the Can-Am duel qualifying races.
Pole-sitter Chase Elliott will lead the 40-car field to the green flag Sunday.
While Matt Kenseth qualified second, the Joe Gibbs Racing driver will start from the rear of the field in a backup car after crashing on the final lap of the second duel race.
Kenseth will be joined at the rear by Jimmie Johnson, Martin Truex Jr. and AJ Allmendinger. All three drivers were involved in the crash and will be in backup cars.
David Gilliland, Josh Wise, Reed Sorenson and Cole Whitt failed to qualify.
