Brian Scott was the fastest in the second practice session for Thursday night’s Can-Am qualifying races at Daytona International Speedway.
The No. 44 Ford finished the session with a top speed of 199.800 mph.
The top five was filled out by Austin Dillon, Kyle Busch, Jimmie Johnson and Paul Menard.
The session was red flagged twice. The first was for a five-car accident involving Ryan Newman, Michael Waltrip and Kyle Larson. The second was for further clean up from the accident, which started when Ty Dillon began dropping oil on the track. Damage from the accident has forced Waltrip and Larson’s teams to go to backup cars for the qualifying races and the Daytona 500.
Here is the speed chart for the second practice session.
