The Sprint Unlimited was two laps from its competition caution on Lap 25 when Brian Vickers triggered a multi-car wreck to bring out the second caution of the 75-lap event.

Vickers, in his first Sprint Cup competition since race four of the 2015 season and replacing an injured Tony Stewart, got loose in Turn 1 on Lap 23. The No. 14 bounced off the right side of Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s Noo. 88, which sent a cloud of blue protective foam flying over the field.

Vickers then shot up the track and collected three-time Unlimited winner Kevin Harvick and slid back down, where he made contact with Clint Bowyer.

“I just saw the 14 have a flat tire for a long ways down the straightaway and he just spun out and I hit him,” Harvick told Fox. “I guess if you’re going to wreck, tonight’s the night to wreck.”

Also listed in the crash were Greg Biffle, Kurt Busch and AJ Allmendinger.
