Watch LIVE: NASCAR America at 6 p.m. ET: Brian Vickers, new G-W-C rules and more

Today’s episode of NASCAR America airs from 6 to 6:30 p.m. ET and bring you the latest news on Tony Stewart and the new rule changes on green-white-checkered finishes.

Dave Briggs and Dale Jarrett host from our Stamford, Connecticut studio and will be joined by Kyle Petty from Burton’s Garage.

On today’s show:

  • With Tony Stewart on the mend, Stewart-Haas Racing has named Brian Vickers as interim driver of his #14 Chevrolet for Daytona Speedweeks. Vickers talks with NASCAR America about how he earned the opportunity and what it means personally to get back in the car.
  • Before Stewart-Haas’ announcement, Stewart himself went on Periscope this morning to talk about his ongoing recovery and more.
  • We’ll also revisit Austin Dillon’s harrowing crash at Daytona last July, when NASCAR last visited the “World Center of Racing.” What were Dillon’s fellow drivers thinking as the wreck unfolded on the final lap?
  • And we’ll dig deeper into NASCAR’s new green-white-checkered procedures – including the new “overtime line” that will play a key role in G-W-C finishes.
