* Today, NASCAR unveiled a major change in its business model: A new “charter” team ownership system in the Sprint Cup Series that will be in place for the next 9 seasons. What does this mean for the sport? NBCSports.com NASCAR insider Nate Ryan leads us through “Charter 101” to figure it all out.* In addition, we’ll talk with Race Team Alliance founder Rob Kauffman, who spearheaded the charter system.

* Chip Ganassi Racing co-owner and Race Team Alliance chairman Rob Kauffman has been a key figure in the charter system’s creation. He’ll speak with NASCAR America to provide insight on today’s news from the owners’ perspective.

* Richard Petty Motorsports’ Aric Almirola rejoins NASCAR America today and will weigh in on how the charter system could impact drivers.

* Team owner Tommy Baldwin will join us from NBC Charlotte.
