Funeral services for ‘Voice of NASCAR’ Barney Hall set for Friday

Funeral services for longtime “Voice of NASCAR” Barney Hall will take place Friday.

Hall, who broadcast NASCAR races for 45 years before retiring midway through the 2014 season, died Tuesday from complications following a medical procedure.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. ET Thursday and also Friday from noon-2 p.m. prior to the funeral service.

Visitation and the service will take place at Jonesville First Baptist Church in Jonesville, North Carolina. Rev. Stanley Stogner, Pastor Scott Price and Dr. Roger Hensley will officiate.

Interment will follow the church services at Crestwood Memorial Gardens with full military honors provided by the U.S. Navy and Yadkin VFW Post 10346.

According to Elkin Funeral Service, flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Victory Junction Gang Camp, 4500 Adam’s Way, Randleman, N.C. 27317; or Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson, N.C. 27017.
