Daytona cuts the ribbon on Daytona Rising (video)

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - DAYTONA RISING, the newest attraction at Daytona International Speedway and the result of a $400 million investment in a new grandstand complex to create a motorsports stadium, is officially open for business.

Lesa France Kennedy and Jim France were present at a ribbon-cutting ceremony Wednesday at the track, in the center injector area, which sees the Rolex 24 at Daytona kick off the North American road racing season.

The new assembly replaces the old grandstands, with new suites and a new press box among the highlights of the construction project.
