Xfinity Series start times, TV info announced by NASCAR

NASCAR has made the decision to bring the Chase format from the Sprint Cup Series over to the Xfinity and Truck Series and will debut the changes in 2016. Xfinity Series will allow 12 drivers to make the Chase.

Start times and TV information for the 2016 Xfinity Series schedule were released Tuesday morning by NASCAR.

NBC Sports Group’s coverage of the series where “Names Are Made” consists of four races on NBC, 12 races on NBCSN, two races on USA Network, and one race on CNBC.

NBC’s coverage will again include Rick Allen as lead announcer with Steve Letarte and Jeff Burton in the booth. Krista Voda returns to host pre- and post-race coverage alongside NASCAR Hall of Fame driver Dale Jarrett and analyst Kyle Petty. Pit road will again feature Marty Snider, Mike Massaro, Kelli Stavast and Dave Burns. NASCAR Talk‘s Nate Ryan will provide news and Rutledge Wood also is back to do features.

Fox Sports will televise the first 14 Xfinity races, with four on Fox and 10 on Fox Sports 1.
