After a dispute over its previous name, it’s play ball on “#Eldora” as the title for the Camping World Truck Series race on Wednesday, July 20 at Eldora Speedway.
The "#Eldora at Eldora Speedway” was unveiled Tuesday in the release of schedules and start times for NASCAR’s top three national series.
Cleverly titled the “Mudsummer Classic” or “Mud Summer Classic” for its first three editions, the track announced in December that the name would change because of an agreement reached with Major League Baseball Properties, Inc. The MLB All-Star Game also is known as the Midsummer Classic, which is used in baseball marketing and promotions.
“We hope all of the baseball fans who traveled to Rossburg, Ohio, the past three years in anticipation of the MLB All-Star Game enjoyed the race and the $2 beers,” Eldora Speedway General Manager Roger Slack said in a December news release.

Rob Manfred wasn’t immediately available for comment.
The #Eldora at Eldora Speedway also will feature a schedule change. To help improve track conditions, truck practice will return to the Tuesday night before the race after being held on race morning last year.
Trucks will be on the track for two practices Tuesday, July 19 at 6:30 p.m. and 9 p.m., sandwiched around heat races and a feature for the Super Dirt Car Series Modifieds.
Truck series qualifying will be held at 5:15 p.m. Wednesday July 20 and followed by five 10-lap heat races and a 25-lap “last chance” race to set the starting lineup for the 150-lap event (held in three segments) at 9 p.m.
