David Ragan is sticking around the Sprint Cup Series as the veteran driver will compete for BK Racing in 2016 driving the No. 23 Toyota Camry, which was driven by Jeb Burton in 2015.

The Unadilla, Georgia, native will be teammates with Matt DiBenedetto, whom BK Racing announced Monday morning would be returning to the No. 83.

“I’m happy to be part of something that has so much growth potential,” Ragan said in a team release. "(Team owner) Ron (Devine) has steadily built his program over the last five years.

“He’s made an even greater commitment in 2016 with new cars, equipment, and additional personnel. I feel that we’ll be in a position to bring the team to the next level. I’m looking forward to the season.”

Ragan told SiriusXM NASCAR Radio that his crew chief will be Patrick Donahue, who worked with Burton, J.J. Yeley and Josh Wise in 2015.

“We’re very excited to have a driver of David’s caliber join our team,” Devine said in the release. “In addition to being a race winner, I feel that his input and leadership qualities will benefit the team on many levels. Our entire organization is energized to work with him.”

Ragan, 30, is entering his 10th full-time Sprint Cup season. In 2015, the former Roush Fenway Racing driver competed for Front Row Motorsports in the Daytona 500 before serving as a replacement driver for the injured Kyle Busch in nine races and then substituting for Brian Vickers in the No. 55 for Michael Waltrip Racing for the rest of the season.

Ragan finished 27th in the point standings, his best result since 2011, his last year with Roush.

Ragan has two career Sprint Cup wins, both coming at restrictor-plate tracks (Daytona in July 2011; Talladega in May 2013).
