BK Racing announced Monday that Matt DiBenedetto will return to the team to drive the No. 83 Toyota Camry.
DiBenedetto, 24, finished 35th in the point standings in 2015, his rookie season. His best result of the year was 18th at the spring Talladega race.
The No. 83 will continue to be led by crew chief Gene Nead.
“Last year I learned a lot from everyone here at BK Racing and I’m looking forward to having a full notebook heading into the season,” DiBenedetto said in press release. "(Team owner) Ron (Devine), Gene and the team have put in a lot of work over the offseason and we are all looking forward to Daytona.”
DiBenedetto’s No. 83 will be sponsored by Dustless Blasting for multiple races, including the Daytona 500. Cosmo Motors also returns as a sponsor for multiple races.
The team’s 2015 roster included DiBenedetto, J.J. Yeley and Jeb Burton.
DiBenedetto’s rookie season wasn’t exemplary, but he did have one notable incident at Sonoma Raceway, when he was spun by a safety truck while trying to enter his pit box.
