NASCAR has done away with the formal name of three of the four rounds of the Chase for the Sprint Cup.
As a result, the 2016 Chase will no longer have a Challenger, Contender or Eliminator round. The Championship 4 round name will remain.
NASCAR Vice President of Integrated Marketing Communications David Higdon made the announcement via Twitter:

The names of each round were originally implemented when NASCAR initiated a new format to the Chase in 2014.
