Don’t be surprised if you get hungry watching Greg Biffle’s car in next month’s Daytona 500.
Roush Fenway Racing announced Wednesday a multi-race primary partnership with KFC for Biffle’s No. 16 Ford Fusion.
KFC (also known as Kentucky Friend Chicken) will first grace Biffle’s car next month during Speedweeks at Daytona International Speedway for both the Sprint Unlimited (Feb. 13) and the marquee Daytona 500 (Feb. 21).
Biffle’s car will carry KFC’s recently launched “Nashville Hot” line of smoky and crispy chicken. In addition, the new menu item will be available as part of KFC’s first ever tailgate platter for fans attending sports events, including NASCAR races.
“It’s definitely exciting to have KFC on the car,” Biffle said in a RFR media release. “I don’t think there is a more iconic brand out there; who didn’t grow up loving KFC?
“I can’t wait to get to Daytona, enjoy a couple of tailgate platters with the team and hopefully put the Colonel in victory lane at our biggest race of the season.”
Roush Fenway Racing is seeking its seventh career win at Daytona and its third in the Daytona 500. Biffle is seeking his first win in the Great American Race; he has one previous win there in Daytona’s annual summer race.
