Furniture Row Racing announced Tuesday at the NASCAR Media Tour that Bass Pro Shops will sponsor the No. 78 of Martin Truex Jr. in eight points races this season, plus the Can-Am Duel at Daytona.
The news comes after the No. 78 team produced its best season yet, with Truex winning one race and making it to the championship race in the Chase for the Sprint Cup.
The team has been largely sponsored only by team owner Barney Visser’s furniture company since the team’s inception in 2005.
“It has been a long journey for Furniture Row Racing,” said team manager Joe Garone. “Most people know Furniture Row has sponsored the car for years. I think we’ve been looking for sponsor for just about as many years. It gets overlookes sometimes because we have logos on the car.”
