Misdemeanor charges of false imprisonment and assault have been dropped against NASCAR driver Travis Kvapil, according to ESPN reporter Bob Pockrass.

The charges against the Camping World Truck Series driver stem from an Oct. 2013 arrest by Mooresville Police following an incident with Kvapil’s wife, Jennifer, in which she suffered minor injuries after Kvapil pulled her by the hair into a bedroom and struck her in the head when she attempted to escape.

Kvapil, 39, pled guilty in North Carolina District Court in Iredell County in Jan. 2014 as part of an agreement that would dismiss the case after two years of probation and 72 hours of community service. The Janesville, Wisconsin native also had to pay $460 in fees and court costs and attended an anger management class.

The 2003 Truck series champion was driving for BK Racing at the time. He was never removed from his car that season, but was not re-signed for 2014. In 2015, Kvapil competed in 21 of 23 Truck races, driving for Premium Motorsports and MAKE Motorsports.
