Panasonic Toughbook will be a primary sponsor on Kahne’s car Feb. 28 at Atlanta Motor Speedway and on Oct. 2 at Dover International Speedway. Panasonic Toughbook will be an associate sponsor the rest of the season.
Panasonic has worked with Hendrick since 2007 when it became a technology partner. In 2014, it stepped into a car sponsor role.
“The partnership influences all areas of our company,” said Patrick Perkins, Hendrick Motorsports’ vice president of marketing in a team release. “Panasonic products are used in every Hendrick Motorsports department, from competition to marketing, and we’ve seen the results. We’re proud to continue the relationship and look forward to more wins together in 2016 and beyond.”
The Panasonic sponsorship leaves six points races that Kahne’s car lacks primary sponsorship for.
Sponsorship that has been secured includes 12 races with Farmers Insurance, 10 with Great Clips, three with LiftMaster, three with Quicken Loans and two with Panasonic.
