Roush Yates Performance Products, which specializes in selling products to the motorsports and street performance markets, has been sold to SRI Performance, it was announced Tuesday.
SRI Performance will now take over both distribution and day-to-day operations of RYPP’s Mooresville, North Carolina based operation, according to a media release. Roush Yates Performance Products had been jointly owned as part of a partnership between Roush Yates Engines and Roush Fenway Racing.
SRI is a subsidiary of Stock Car Steel & Aluminum, which provides a variety of products to all major motorsport series, including body shop, fabrication and industrial supplies.
The new Roush Yates/SRI operation will remain at its current location, including a walk-in store for customers at 122 Knob Hill Road in Mooresville. According to the media release, the company “will specialize in products for all forms of racing and street performance. This will consist of chassis, engine, suspension, and used performance products.”
In addition, the company will operate a Trackside Sales program that will feature two fully outfitted haulers, one for NASCAR sanctioned events and the other for short track events across the U.S.
“Roush Yates Performance Products has been in business since 2008 supplying new and used performance products to the performance industry,” Doug Yates, president and CEO of Roush Yates Performance Products, said in a statement. “We believe this agreement and consolidation of local distribution will enhance technical support, customer service and competitive pricing.
“It was important that we find someone who could satisfy the racers’ needs for chassis, suspension, engine, as well as street performance parts for the performance aftermarket.”
